Mark fell in love with the practice of yoga after his first class.  Only a few years after that, wanting to learn more about yoga, he completed his 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2013 at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he lived before moving to Annapolis.  In his training, he discovered his interest in yoga philosophy and spirituality that extended well beyond asana practice and led him to study for a certificate in Yoga Philosophy from Loyola Marymount as well.

Mark completed his 300-hour teacher training at Blue Lotus Yoga Studio in 2022 and began teaching classes regularly.  He loves teaching all types of yoga, from faster paced vinyasa classes to slower paced yin, restorative, and meditation classes.  Regardless of the branch of yoga Mark is teaching, he loves to incorporate themes from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and other yoga texts into the classes.

When Mark is not teaching, he enjoys long walks through Eastport and Annapolis neighborhoods with his Chihuahua, Lucy, reading science fiction and biographies (Autobiography of a Yogi is a favorite), and computer programming.

Mark transitioned peacefully on January 3, 2025. He is missed greatly.
