molly winans

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Molly Winans has called Annapolis home for more than 30 years. In her time in the Sailing Capital, she’s worked as a boat show deckhand, terrible waitress, substitute teacher, sales person, sailing instructor, freelance writer, and English and French professor (adjunct). For the past 17 years, she’s been a full-time editor at SpinSheet Publishing.

When she’s not working, Molly paints in acrylics, paddles her pink standup paddleboard, sails, practices yoga, cycles, walks around town, hangs around with amazing cooks who feed her all too well, and travels with the best boyfriend ever.

Molly is a graduate of Allegheny College (BA) and the University of Rhode Island (MA). She’s also studied at various universities in Paris, the French School at Middlebury College, and IS Aix-en-Provence.

She’s studied painting at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, St. John’s College, and the Art League School of the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA. She shows her artwork with Art Between the Creeks and the Maryland Federation of Art.
